How it works
Open the case
One person hosts Hollins Farm on a phone or laptop and gets a five-character game code.
Everyone joins
Friends join in their phone's browser with the code. Nothing to install, no accounts.
Catch the lie
Question Ruth Hollins, Colin Marsh and Dan Pryce, compare what they say and accuse. Get it right and the reveal plays.
Two ways to play
Play on a TV with everyone on their phones, or on phones alone. Same case, same suspects.
With a TV
The host puts the game on a TV so the whole room can follow the case. Everyone still asks the suspects from their own phone.

Just phones
No TV needed. The host runs the game on a phone or laptop, everyone joins with the game code, and each answer plays on the phone that asked.

A TV is optional. Pick whichever suits your room.

Questions
Do we need a TV?
No. The host runs the game on a phone or laptop, and everyone plays on their own phone. A TV or a shared video call is a nice extra.
How many people can play?
We suggest one to eight, and three to five is the sweet spot. Anyone with the game code can join.
How long does it take?
About 60–90 minutes. A table that accuses early finishes sooner.

Each case involves a death, told without gore, with the attitudes of its period. We suggest 12 and up. Content notes are on the case page.
Do players need an account?
No. Players join with the game code and any name they like. Only the host signs in, with Google or Microsoft.
